Finance & Administration Manager (m/w/d) in Leipzig / Berlin / Homeoffice (English Description)

Kopernikus Automotive is the leading developer in automated valet parking (AVP) technology, which describes an autonomous driving solution. Kopernikus Automotive was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Leipzig with an additional R&D location in Berlin. We are a car software development company with a multinational team of A.I. and robotics specialists representing 14 nationalities.

As a team we want to shape the future of the automotive industry: We believe that the current status in the car industry needs to be challenged. Software will become the most important component of tomorrow’s cars and autonomous driving functions will be coming to the automobiles soon; we are here to accelerate this change. 


We are growing at light-speed and need help managing our growth to support our finance & administration team.

Your role:

  • You will be supporting the management team in the yearly planning, the financial forecasting, and the monthly investor reporting. 

  • You will collect, analyze and aggregate company data in a meaningful fashion in Excel and generate graphs & diagrams.

  • You will be working closely with our accountants, tax adviser, partners and other service providers etc. in German.

Your profile:

  • You have worked in a finance & general administration position for at least 5 years

  • You are awesome at Excel and extremely precise with numbers.

  • A big plus would be prior experience in administering government-funded research projects (“Fördermittel”)

  • Your exact formal (business) education is less relevant, but your past performance should show a high affinity for financial & management accounting topics and exhibit a high degree of analytical thinking. 

  • You are a self-starter willing to push him-/herself to close open issues fast.  

  • Good interpersonal skills are a must.

  • Fluent English and German language skills are essential prerequisites for this job, as our company language is English, but you must be able to communicate in German with other players. 

  • You must be willing to travel sporadically, usually this involves a two to three day meet-up in Berlin on a monthly basis, additional travel may arise.
