Our Implementation Team is mainly based out of Berlin in a very nice and comfortable work mobility hub, but remote work is possible. Rust Senior Developer Role: API and Backend - Rust (m/f/d)
(Leipzig / Berlin / partly remote possible)

​

​

 The Implementation Team is mainly responsible for: 

​

• Writing code to communicate with the vehicle and factory/parking infrastructure 

• DevOps and developer tooling, including logging and visualization 

• Hacking cars, so we can control them remotely - like an RC car 

• Motion Control and Path Planning 

• State estimation of vehicles, pedestrians and other entities 

• Communication between internal components, using DDS 

• Company security (VPN access, SSH keys, secrets, etc) and defense against adversarial attacks 

• Hardware selection for new project sites, including servers and networking hardware 

• Site maintenance (usually remote)

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer who is passionate about creating robust, scalable, and secure back-end systems. You should be proficient in the Rust programming language and have a strong understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic of our services, with the following key responsibilities: 

​

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Rust 

• Design and implement server-side architecture and algorithms to improve system performance 

• Create database schemas that represent and support business processes 

• Design and deploy Rust-based applications in a cloud environment 

• Document codebase and provide technical support when needed

Your profile:

​

• You can write high-quality and well-structured Rust code 

• Proven experience as an API Developer, with demonstrable experience of using Rust 

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes 

• Experience with CI/CD 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git 

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and server-side push technologies 

• Experience with database technology such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL

To stand out of a crowd:

​

• CKA or CKAD certification

• Experience with WebRTC 

• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C++  

• Previous experience in a startup or agile development environment
